i regretted not going into marching schools like , Bowen , Ping Yi , EastSpring or Springfield . =(thats the only schools i fancy laa . haha .
watched the routine for combine band which involves Ping Yi and Springfield .
AWESOME ROUTINE ! compilations of many2 songs and artists into 1 . gosh .
i hate marching with free hands .
but if its with the marching line or in fact [Snare line]
more than willing to do anything to get into the line ! hahaha .

playing chops with notes makes it look more cool and sexaye u knw ...
been revising on quarter , 8 and 16 notes lately .

its a prelim show in 1999. This show was about 90 days out from the Japanese Nationals.



routine - simple , tight .
what they are playing - Latin or more to spanish tango .
played in various 2-3 or 3-2 clave .\ their sound and the produce of the sound is just perfect . imagine 7-12 years old playing like this in singapore . grr ...

its been years and months since i last updated this blog .
and it gets rusty everytime .
sometimes , i really2 cant be bothered to blog cos theres nothing for me to blog abt .

i will try think of something .

hrm , yesterday , i had AEP with Bloco Singapura .
it was held at BPPS .
(figure it out k)

we played 3 sets with 15 mins to half an hour interval .
it was so gerek i tell you !
the P5 n P6s were not that supportive .
P4s and P3s were quite okaay .
but the P1s and P2s were really2 on their feets mann .
many questions we asked them which is like the real fact . turns out to be really2 funny to them . its quite cute laa to see them enjoying and laughing .
example ehh .

someone from bloco ask : (picks up the agogo bell and ask ) what instrument is this ?
P1 : ( karanguni ! ) and everyone in the hall especially the students laughed .
it was funny laa if u get to see the expressions on their cute face . its gonna be like joke of the day mann . tsk tsk .

someone from bloco plays the cuica and everyone just started laughing again .
its like a laughing issue u knw . I think theres a big LOL in some of the teachers mind also .
they were so engaged during the show .
are they engaged during class ? hahahaha .

he needs help playing the solo part for the song . i decided to play the repenique for the solo and make it like santana-smooth for the percussion fill in . cool or whaaaaat ? hahaha . 8 bar solo . shud i play just the djembe or just play the ripa or both ? still thinking .

for the tamborim . let the tamborim come to the beater . position of hand and timing is the most important thing if u wanna play tamborim ahh .
both technique is different . one is virado and the other 1 is i d k ? haha

im so so so so exhausted now . just reached home from show and reh .
i was at Marina just now , then to East Coast Park .
im really tired laa .

get out from school just now then lepaks with budak2 awhile , main bola yang sungguh tk bermakna . haha .
then rush home ! yes . RUSH HOME ! cos i realised that im gonna be late .. lucky the bus came on time , i was abt , err . 5 mins late ? guess so ... arnd there ahh .

okaay then reached studio to chill for awhile .
carry instruments up and down ! non-stop .

then head to marina .

this was really the best part of the day ! this is the the thing that i wanna share with you guys .

" i took my temperature for like , 16 or 17 times ! grr ... "

the first time taking , the reading was 37.9 , i was not through and i've been pulled to the side . maybe its because of the weather . really2 . i was berpeluh satu badan . belom show . haa .
what i remember was , 37.9 , 37.6 , 37.9 , and so on ... the passing was 37.4 and below .
tu takpe ...
the gerek part was , at first , 37.9 . 5 mins later , 35.9 . i was reluctant to go away from that place already .
then came by this sir ? guard ? or whatever it is called .
and what that guy said was , " retake ! his not the medic . "

and im back to the place again . still 37.9 .
and back to the same , between 37.5 - 37.9 . funny ?
kalau korang kene then funny ahh . lol . kk memain je .

so yeaah . thats the thing .
i thought i wudnt get a chance to perform as i havent change into the clothes im suppose to . havent set up my instrument and stuffs .
as everyone is busy strapping up to wait for the slot .
i was by the side , sitting and staring at them . hahahaha .

i think the guard kinda let me off .
cos , when i took the temperature for the very2 last time of that day ,
my ear was kinda cold . maybe he make it wet ahh .
then its 36.5 . great ! time to go .
chop2 , and had our show . great show and great evening laa . hahaha .
after that , went to chill at the seats facing the platform .
its just great laa . imagine all the seats taken .
get to witness an amazing experience . birds eye view and to over run the the whole sight . if only a DSLR is by my side . hahaha

then , went to east coast park to rehearse .
GREAT REH ! but , a tiring 1 indeed .
cant wait for WorldWideFestival ! really2 . i wished u guys were there . its new songs ! new breaks ! new grooves ! will just rock the whole party .

after the reh for WWF . took taxi with fiq upbeats to lavender . The End recordings studio . we lepak-ed at kedai kopi with mestre and cliques to discuss abt the dates and yada yada ....
